Coco Paradise Candle Review - Bath and Body Works
Bath and Body Works is coco for coconut! We have yet another coconut body care fragrance this year. Is it the same as Hibiscus Paradise? Read on for my Coco Paradise candle review.

What It Smells Like
Description: Bath & Body Works Coco Paradise is the new single fragrance launch for the Spring 2 floor set and this is the matching 3-wick candle for that body care. This is a beautiful, beach-y coconut floral. There is a rich and thick coconut fragrance that is coming from the monoi element. Monoi oil is Tahitian gardenia petals (tiare) soaked in coconut oil, to be used in perfuming, a method invented thousands of years ago. The sultry coconut is then mixed with a floral neroli fragrance that perfectly captures the sun-kissed bronzed vibe you crave in a fragrance like this. There is lastly a very body-care-like sandalwood to give it a fine fragrance robustness.
Comparisons: If you enjoyed Hibiscus Paradise, I feel you’ll enjoy this as well. The two are extremely similar, although not direct repackages. Both employ a similar coconut floral vibe. The orange blossom and neroli vibe of both In The Sun as well as Sunkissed is also present in this candle. This fragrance is also similar to the coconut found in Copper Coconut Sands, and pretty much most coconuts found in Bath and Body Works body care, for that matter.
How It Performs
Burn: This has the thick rope-like wicks that burn extremely hot and fast. Diligent trimming is advised, and sooting is expected after 2-3 hours.
Throw: Medium to strong. This gives a great robust throw that is sometimes a bit cloying in smaller spaces, but I am not complaining! The floral and sandalwood in this go a long way to carry this coconut fragrance forward. 8 out of 10.
Conclusion
While I initially did not love Hibiscus Paradise in candle form, once I approached the end of that candle, I was rather sad I did not have a backup. I am happy that Coco Paradise is the next best thing to me, and enjoy having a candle that is so similar to Hibiscus Paradise! Paired with the strong throw and my uncharacteristic love for coconut this year, I would consider repurchasing this candle. This is perfect for capturing that hot and sunny island paradise moment.
