Radiant Sky Candle Review - Bath and Body Works
Radiant Sky is a brand new fragrance for Bath & Body Works for the spring 2023 collection and we’re here to find out if it’s any good. We’ve had the Test Lab Exotic Lychee fragrance once before that I really didn’t enjoy, so I’m curious to see how this lychee fragrance compares to that!
What It Smells Like
Description: Radiant Sky is a bright juicy tropical fruit fragrance with a prominent lychee note. Lychee is a fruit from Asia that smells like a cross between grape juice and tart berries, with a slight floral undertone. The mango in this fragrance smooths out the otherwise tangy lychee fragrance. While having been exposed to the sun my entire life, I can’t say I know what “rays of sunshine” smell like, so I can’t quite say that I can detect that in this candle. I do however get a subtle finishing touch of something “body-care-ish.”
Comparisons: This is a genuinely new fragrance, but fragrances similar to this candle are Kiwi Passionfruit, Iced Dragonfruit Tea and the Test Lab Exotic Lychee. Exotic Lychee was quite off-putting to me, so I’m happy to report that this is much more pleasant than that!
How It Performs
Burn: This has the core wicks that make mushroom tops, although the more manageable mushroom tops. It is the standard hot and fast burn that puffs soot after 2-3 hours, so diligent trimming before each burn is advised.
Throw: Medium. I can smell it well enough in a smaller bedroom, a bit lighter in a living room. 5-6 (out of 10).
Conclusion
While tropical fruit fragrances are my least favorite from Bath & Body Works, this is delightfully fruity and fun. I love burning this on a bright sunny day and is a nice change of pace from my usual florals and heavier gourmands. It’s not a repurchase for me personally, but I’m enjoying it while I have. As a bonus, the packaging on this is gorgeous! When lit, it is a beautiful glowing orb of rainbow juiciness.
